The UF Online Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree program provides students with a broad, science-based liberal arts education that explores psychology from both natural and social science perspectives.
This bachelor’s in psychology prepares students for a wide range of careers in areas such as education, personnel management, business and marketing, health care and counseling as well as for graduate and professional programs, whether it’s to continue their studies in psychology or another field such as law.
The online psychology degree requires coursework in psychology, statistics, mathematics and biology. Courses are required in four core areas within the discipline as well as elective psychology courses.

The transfer admissions process is competitive, prepare your applications carefully and be attentive to your grades. To be considered for admission to the online program, you should have completed the courses from the following list:
Required:
- BSC 2005 (Biological Sciences) or BSC 2009 (Biological Sciences) or BSC 2010 (Integrated Principles of Biology 1) or equivalent
- PSY 2012 (General Psychology)
- MAC 1147 (Precalculus: Algebra and Trigonometry) or MAC 1140 (Precalculus Algebra) and MAC 1114 (Trigonometry)
- STA 2023 (Introduction to Statistics 1)
You should also have an overall 2.75 GPA and a cumulative 2.75 GPA in the courses listed above.
Note: Additional Psychology courses taken will be calculated into both the overall and the major specific GPA noted above for the purpose of admission, but the department does limit the number of 1-2000 level courses that can apply toward the degree.
